About the ArtistJoe Maloney was one of the preeminent “early” color photographers in the 1970s and was featured prominently in Sally Euclaire’s influential book, The New Color Photography. This portfolio, published by QED Editions in 1982, consists of ten dye transfer prints made by Maloney and Franczyk-Bock Associates of Chicago. Maloney became well known for his muscular, experimental work and for using color temperature as a compositional element. These ten pictures comprise his best, most influential work.
