About the ArtistSince the 1950s, Tyler Boley has been photographing the landscape of the Northwest, particularly the Seattle area, where he was born, working with a range of cameras from large format to iPhone. Boley attended the University of Washington, where he studied music and literature. He originally pursued a career in music until becoming a commercial and fine art photographer in 1983. His commercial clients include Microsoft, Nintendo, and Starbucks, among others. He began teaching workshops and tutoring in 2005, including at Cone Editions in Vermont, Digital Stop in Berkeley, CA, and Newspace Center for Photography.
