About the ArtistMichele Abeles received her BA in Psychology from Washington University in St Louis (1999) and MFA in Photography from Yale University (2007). Solo exhibitions have been held at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; 47 Canal, New York; the Karpidas Collection, Dallas; and Sadie Coles, London. Abeles is a 2010 Rema Hort Mann Visual Arts Grantee and 2000 Recipient of the Richard Benson Excellence in Photography Award from Yale University. Her work is held in public collections around the world, including at the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Lugwig Wien, Vienna, Austria; Aïshti Foundation, Jal el Dib, Lebanon; Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.
