About the ArtistSylvia Wolf completed a bachelor’s degree in French literature from Northwestern University and an MFA in photography from Rhode Island School of Design. Wolf was the director of the University of Washington’s Henry Art Gallery for fifteen years. She previously held curatorial positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. Wolf has also been an educator at many institutions in New York, including New York University's Tisch School of Art, the School of Visual Arts, and Columbia University. She has been awarded the French government’s Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and is the author of over twelve books on contemporary art and photography. Muha, Marie
