About the ArtistMark Laita is a commercial photographer with studios in Los Angeles and New York City. Raised in Detroit and Chicago, Laita discovered photography as a teenager and went on to study at Columbia College Chicago, where he completed a BFA in 1983. Over his career, he has completed commissions for numerous national advertising campaigns, working for clients such as Adidas, BMW, Apple, and Budweiser. He has also pursued a number of independent projects, such as an extensive series of portraits, Created Equal, which depicts a range of iconic American archetypes in the spirit of August Sander and Richard Avedon.
