About the ArtistJean Moss attended the University of Wisconsin and began pursuing photography after graduating, turning down a Fulbright Fellowship in order to study with Ansel Adams. She subsequently worked as a stylist for television commercials for a number of years. Upon starting a career as a commercial photographer, she found early success in the 1980s with iconic advertising campaigns like Nike's "Best on Earth, Best on Mars" with Michael Jordan and Spike Lee. In the following years, she came to be known for her celebrity portraits, as well as her work in advertising, photographing professional athletes and movie stars. A number of her photographs have been featured on the cover of Esquire.- On Chicago
