About the ArtistDon Frank is a commercial and fine art photographer living on the Oregon Coast. Describing Light that Guides, a photograph he made shortly after the events of 9/11, Frank writes, "On September 14th, still rather numb and confused, I was walking up the stairs in my house and recalled that I had this nightlight from New York city featuring the Twin Towers. I grabbed my Hasselblad and spent the afternoon crafting the shot. It is indicative of creativity how a small tourist trinket, residing in faraway Portland Oregon, can symbolize times past and provide a memorial to the lives lost at a time of national crisis."
