About the ArtistPavel Baňka is known for his dream-like, surrealist photographs. He studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague from 1958-1963. Baňka has exhibited extensively in Prague, and his work is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; International Centre for Photography, New York; George Eastman Museum, Rochester; and Bibliothèque Nationale de France. He is a curator, writer, educator, and the founder of the magazine Fotograf.
