Bobbe Besold is a multimedia artist whose work focuses on ecological and social issues. She received her BFA in 1972, with honors, in painting, print-making, and photography, at Alfred School of Art and Design, with John Wood and Eric Renner, in Alfred, New York. She has held solo exhibitions at Blue Sky Gallery, Portland, OR; Center for Contemporary Photography, Tucson, AZ; CEPA Gallery, Buffalo, NY; and LewAllen Gallery, Santa Fe, NM, among others. Selected awards include the Fulcrum Fund Grant, ACEC Award: Project of the Year, Vermont Studio Center Residencies, and the William Van Dyke Award. Her work is in the collections of the New Mexico History Museum; Center for Creative Photography, Tucson; New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts; and numerous private collections.
