Buitron, Robert C.

Robert Buitron was born in East Chicago, Indiana. He completed a BFA in Photography at Arizona State University (1980) and an MFA at the University of Illinois, Chicago (1996). Along with his practice as a photographer, Buitron has been an exhibition curator and taught at a number of colleges and universities, including the University of Minnesota, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Elgin Community College. He has taught photography at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois since 2000 and has lectured at Chicago State University since 2012.
