Kasahara, Michiko

Michiko Kasahara was born in Nagano, Japan. She has completed a BA in Sociology at Meiji Gakuin University, Japan (1983), and an MFA in Photography at Columbia College, Chicago (1987). From 1989 to 2002 she was curator of the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, where she returned in 2006 after four years as curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, also in Tokyo.
