BiographyJoachim Brohm graduated from the University of Essen GHS, Folkwang, Germany (1983), and received his Master of Arts at Ohio State University, Columbus (1984). He is a 1983-84 Fulbright Scholar. Brohm has taught at Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Academy of Fine Art, Leipzig; Hoschule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Zürich; the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; Northern Illinois University, Salzburg College, Salzburg; and Technical Universities Bielefeld and Dortmund. Since 1984, he has exhibited extensively across Germany, and his work is held in the collections of the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and Berlinische Galerie, Landesmuseum, Berlin, among others. He has published numerous self-titled monographs since the 1990s.
