Dujardin, FilipBelgian, b.1971
Filip Dujardin is an architectural historian who uses digital collaging of photographs to create structurally impossible buildings. In his series for the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial, Dujardin imagines alternative histories for the city by reconstructing the skyscrapers and ignoring laws of physics and gravity to create imaginary cityscapes. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA; and Bozar, Brussels, Belgium; among others.
