About the ArtistBorn in Lansing, Michigan, Karen O'Hearn studied photography at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1985 he was included in the 20/20 portfolio, published by UCLA to celebrate twenty years of its MFA photography program. O'Hearn was one of twenty photographers featured, along with Ellen Brooks, Gillian Brown, Jack Butler, Darryl Curran, Jo Ann Callis, Judy Coleman, Darryl J.
