Conniff, Greg

Conniff was born in 1944. After receiving his BA from the College of Columbia University in New York City, Conniff went on to become a lawyer (LL.B. from the University of Virginia), taking mostly artists as his clients until he gave up his practice to become a full-time photographer. He is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships and a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship. His photography exhibitions have included shows at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; Cleveland Museum of Art, Ohio; Spencer Museum of Art, Lawrence, Kansas; and the Milwaukee Art Museum, Wisconsin. His works are included in private and museum collections nationwide.
