BiographyBorn in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Scott Dietrich completed a BFA from the University of Arizona, College of Fine Arts (1994). He went on to complete an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1996), and his work is represented in The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1995 Graduate and Faculty Portfolio, which comprises work by the participants in the graduate photography program in 1995. In 1998 Dietrich completed additional training from the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies, and later began a series of photographs of architectural models, translating the miniaturized three-dimensional forms into two-dimensional renderings that create a sense of illusion and confusions of scale.
