Donohue, Bonnie

BiographyBonnie Donohue received a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and an MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop at the State University of New York, Buffalo. Her work is represented in the portfolio Underware, published by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1976 to celebrate its centennial year, featuring photographs by the faculty of the Department of Photography and nine former visiting artists. Donohue later focused on contested territories or places of conflict in her works in photography and video, dealing with subjects such as race, class, and cultural erasure. Since 1979, she has taught at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, where she is a senior lecturer in photography.
